We heard from people in pain that they often had to step out of their lives to take care of themselves.
How it all started
Cinder’s mission and vision comes from a deeply personal experience. Paola Galeano, our founder, has lived with Endometriosis since she was 12 years old. It took her 14 years to officially get diagnosed with Stage 4 after her first surgery. Her diagnosis delay is a story many women know all too well. Left with little recourse to manage her symptoms, she turned to what existed at the time. A hot water bottle, castor oil packs, a TENS machine, and prescription pharmaceuticals.
Pills created nasty downstream effects, on both her body and mind. They became entirely inappropriate to use, especially upon entering the professional world. And the other workarounds couldn’t leave the house with her, go to competitive athletics with her, or let her move while she was in pain.
Our Vision
To grow the empathetic seed throughout culture. We believe in a world where every body is held, cared for, and soothed.
Our Mission
To empower resilience through human-centric, practical, beautiful design to ignite an inner optimism. From Cinder to Strength.
Our Team
Our team comes from a varied background between Fashion, Tech, BioTech, Wellness and Beauty. We all have our own experiences with chronic pain that keep us dedicated to contributing to our mission.
